Dr. Nozomi Weaver was previously employed as a surgeon at St. Francis Hospital. She was known for taking on cases that other surgeons couldn't possibly handle, and facing them with skill, pride, and determination. Despite her cool demeanor, she was well-liked by her patients and her colleagues. It was a surprise to all of them when she decided to leave the hospital; she was considered their rising star. In her resignation letter, she said that she wanted to broaden her horizons as a doctor.

However, there are quite a few rumors surrounding Dr. Weaver's sudden exit. Could it have anything to do with the large-scale infectious disease outbreak six months ago? Every qualified doctor in the area was taking on as many patients as they could at that time, but was that her only involvement? What's more, little is known about her past before working at St. Francis. Such a dedicated and upstanding medical professional couldn't possibly have anything to hide, right?

Her office is sparsely decorated, its most notable features the top-of-the line computer that adorns the desk and the whiteboard along one wall. The board is largely blank, though you may see some notes in the margins now and again.

Dr. Weaver's patients will find her outside demeanor to be cool and professional, if nothing else. However, while she says that sympathy isn't something she has much of these days, the fact remains that under her cool exterior is a softer side. It's not likely to show itself much, though...

Originally employed at Chennai University in India, Mohinder holds a PhD in parapsychology, which some might say makes him perfect for his current position. He promoted a lot of his father's views in regards to human evolution, however neither his or his father's theories have been taken very seriously by the public. Though the two of them didn't always meet eye to eye, his father's recent death left him even more determined to carry on his research.

Due to various circumstances, he is currently under the employ of a nameless Company who directed him toward Landel's with the promise of case studies that would be of interest to his field. Though unsure about the situation at first, he has since welcomed the opportunity to work with patients with such interesting, and sometimes oddly similar, quirks.

Generally well meaning, Dr. Suresh will listen to anything with an open ear even if he believes very little of what's being said. He tries to keep a fair, business-like distance from his patients lest he become too attached to them.

Dr. Makiko Kisugi was previously employed as a psychiatrist at a prefectural hospital in Japan. There is very little of significance about her: the school she attended was not terribly prestigious, nor was the hospital in which she worked. She officially chose to transfer to a mental hospital so far from home as part of a special residency program, with the goal of gaining more experience that she might better help those under her care.

Unofficially, the decision may have been influenced by a series of rather gruesome serial murders which took place in her home town, some of which occurred close enough to the hospital in which she worked that many of the staff members were questioned by the police. Not that such a young, frail-looking woman could ever have anything to do with such horrific crimes, of course; perhaps she just feared that she might become the next victim.

Her demeanor in counseling sessions may tend more toward the efficient and businesslike than the empathetic and caring, but her patients never seem to mind. At least, if they do, they don't choose to voice any objections.

The decor in her office barely deserves the title, as there is little to no effort to inject any sense of personality into it. Everything in the room -- posters, books, and papers alike -- is arranged with almost mathematical precision, with nothing out of place.

Noble by blood though not necessarily by birth, Dr. Jizabel Disraeli comes to Landel's straight from English aristocracy. Though a Doctor by trade, he has for many years been working under his father's direction outside of the public eye, performing tasks less than suited for a man in his profession. No one knows what though. At times he was allowed to take on side jobs when given breaks by his father, but it seems that none can recall just where he worked or whom he worked for. The public simply remembers the fact that he did, at least for some period of time, work somewhere within the society. The rumors concerning that say what they will, naturally.

After once again being momentarily dismissed by his father, Jizabel sought out another side job and stumbled across Landel's. He has never tackled the thrills of a mental institution's populace, but he sees Landel's as an excellent opportunity to broaden his knowledge of the human mind. Or so he claims. His former practice was that of a surgeon instead of a psychologist, but Jizabel feels himself quite qualified for dealing with people beyond the edge of a scalpel.

The design of his office is well-kept and professional by all standards of the word. One might find a paper or two out of place at times, left lying carelessly about by Jizabel for some reason or another, but the room is nearly always perfect. Within this pristine environment he will address patients with the greatest amount of understanding he can muster, smiling all the while. For the most part he will want to know what the patients think and let them speak for as long as they will. He is there, after all, to help... but only on the surface.

In actuality, Jizabel couldn't care less for his patients - their mental states hold much more value than their actual lives. It is a small matter to deceive them with false smiles and a pleasant demeanor so long as he can collect the data he desires. For him, Landel's is nothing more than an experiment, and the patients his guinea pigs.

While not the most renowned doctor in Landel's, Dr. Maggie Burroughs is still more than capable of her job, having taken up a side of her profession some others find themselves too good to touch - psychiatric care for abused and troubled children. Even at the age of 28, she's managed to gain respect of those in the area for her professionalism and total devotion to her work. This devotion has made her promise again and again that she would never stray from this, that she would do anything in her power to help kids and teens from becoming monstrous adults. No amount of money could make her turn her back on the people who need her.

Still, certain issues back home have caused her to wish for something different, something very, very far away from Springwood, Ohio. On a whim, she chose Landel's, keeping with her wish to help those she could. Though she may not seem to get enough sleep and occasionally comes off as cold to many at first glance, it's obvious Maggie is particularly serious when it comes to her field.

Her office holds little to note in of itself- a large corkboard on the far wall, tacked with scribbled notes and inspiring messages, drawing the most attention. The more questioning patients, however, might wonder about the disturbing poster of snake-like demons wrapping themselves around human figures, or the 3D glasses and coffee maker on her desk. And it really doesn't help that, despite all her good intentions, most of her patients end up having horrific nightmares about their worst fears after paying her a visit...

Nicknamed "the Prince" for being the most desirable young man of his time, Daedalus Yumeno is known for two things: his profound youth and his profound genius. With an effeminate face of perhaps sixteen years, no doubt his professionalism is often called into question; Daedalus is, if nothing else, a jack of all trades when it comes to the sciences. He would do his utmost to see both physical and mental ailments cured, but it has less to do with a patient's wellbeing--being unable to find the source of a defect and correct it would undermine his reputation. Needless to say, his strongest traits are his calmness and patience; he's willing to listen to anything his patients have to say, without (outward) signs of mocking. And if it means gaining ground, Daedalus's not above doing small favours in the name of unlawful behavior. A mischievous smile here and there is proof enough that Daedalus doesn't regard the rules very highly either.

When it comes to his office, about the only interesting things one would find are the desk computer, and the oval, high-backed chair; considering Landel's decor, it's a little out of place. Perhaps the many pictures--all featuring the same girl throughout her life--would be worth a second glance.

But this prince has the heart of a frog: underneath the personable demeanour, there lurks a softly spoken arrogance, and a large touch of cynicism. Daedalus is not above subtly berating others with kind words, and certainly doesn't hesitate to stab a knife into one's emotional wounds and twist, if it entails progress. After all, if knowingly eradicating 90% of the population by his own hand didn't phase him, a few miserable patients won't stir his conscience.

Professor Washu, perhaps the most highly educated of the Landels doctors, has the distinction of holding a doctorate in psychology (along with many other fields of study) and therefore is actually doing the job she was trained to do. Energetic, flamboyant, and equipped with a love for science in all its myriad ways, Professor Washu is driven by her ideas and whatever pet project might have gripped her fancy at any particular moment. One pet project being, of course, her research into a Unified Theory of Behavioral Sciences.

While she is prone to lectures and a condescending attitude toward her patients, Professor Washu does have a soft spot- some would say a maternal instinct- for those under her care. She might express it in odd ways, such as stabilizing more 'rambunctious' patients with a Astral Plane Inhibitor 'for their own good', but she does mean well and she is determined to see her patients returned to the 'real' world safe and sound. And, if possible, with a finer appreciation for the wonders of science.

While her former work involved more of the 'hard' sciences and the use of her brilliant mind, she abruptly changed course only a short while ago. Resigning her position in countless laboratories- and destroying her work, as nothing says 'I Quit' like ruining the dreams of those who would want to exploit her genius- she made her way to Landels and now seems content to maintain a lower profile. Some wonder whether this might not have something to do with a tragic break-up in the past or the terrible spat with a protege of hers that resulted in more than just bad feelings, but she's quite reticient about her own past. 'Look toward the future', she often says, 'You can't do anything about the past. At least, not until I get around to inventing a time machine!'

Most likely the nicest out of all the doctors, patients hope they get assigned to Dr. Wilson. While his true specialty is oncology, he's experienced enough with helping patients deal with the trauma and depression of terminal illness to offer extra therapy services at Landel's Institute. (In truth, however, the only reason he ended up in the godforsaken insane asylum is because his best friend tricked him into it.) He is friendly and seems to really care for what his patients are going through. While he might complain about his horrible luck with marriage or that same unstable, maddening friend who also happens to work at Landel's, he's usually all ears.

He's the newest addition to the staff of doctors. He always has a lab coat on and dresses very neatly. It's not likely he's going to be slipping things to patients under the table, however. He'd like to keep his job, as crazy as it--and the place--seem to be.
